Skiing in Turkey- Bolu Dorukkaya
For those of you who think that Turkey is a sun drenched country or solely for summer fun. Read on and you will be in for a surprise.
Last weekend at the beginning of January myself and some work colleagues headed from Istanbul to Bolu and a resort called Kartalkaya which is one of the top ski resorts in Turkey. Just 4 hours away from Istanbul by bus.
The resort has 8 ski-lifts and 11 ski tracks all at different difficulty levels and lengths and year long high snow quality for skiers and snowboarders alike
After a day on the slopes there are of course the evening Apres ski parties. I can highly recommend a visit even if only for one night as we stayed. If you are in Istanbul during the winter then you can arrange a short package to Kartalkaya. Skis and outfits are available to hire at the resort. Enjoy!
